I got the opportunity to shoot a story for D Magazine this week. I was asked to shoot the Sparkman Hillcrest Cemetery. I spent several hours walking around the entire 88 acres. As you can imagine at times it was an emotional experience…especially seeing the children’s graves some containing toys on the headstones. It was a reminder to be thankful for all that I have been given and to pray for the families who have dealt with the loss of a child.

The mausoleum there is cool, weird and creepy as well. Vaulted ceilings, beautiful stained glass windows plus you’re a stones throw from North Park Mall.
