surfing the wide web of the world
I am amazed at just how many blogs and resources can be found on the internet. It feels as if I have just emerged from several years of hibernation. I have been so focused on kids (we have 2), family and the day to day of running the bidness I had lost track of all that was happening online. Not that I was ever that aware of what was happening online anyway but now I really feel out of it.
I remember when I moved to NYC in ’99 to start assisting I had just gotten my first email address. The common practice was to fax over your resume to photographers that you were interested in working for. FAX! Dude…I am old. Geezerish.
My goal is to wade through this mountain range of data and pare things down to some useful links and topics to better educate myself and whomever happens to read this…Darren that would be you.
of course i’m reading. you’ll be able to distill, it just takes a little time. the twitter thing just seems to grow on its own. chase jarvis is following me now which is weird. its out of courtesy because i’m following him, but hey, he’s following me. what a mind job this twitter thing can be.
More than three years later, I am as confident more people are reading as I am you're no longer faxing.
